14 October 2023: Boogie Wonderland at MWMJC’s 42nd Annual Dinner!

The atmosphere at Eastin Hotel, Penang on Saturday night, 14 October 2023 was electrifying to say the least! Close to 200 guests comprising members and sponsors - many of whom were dressed up to the nines in their Retro Disco party outfits - graced MWMJC’s 42nd Annual Dinner to enjoy the evening with infectious disco tunes, good fun and camaraderie!

It was our first time hosting the event in Penang and we were extremely touched by the massive turnout of guests from all over Peninsular Malaysia and beyond, even as far as Sarawak, Brunei and Singapore.

Among the highlights of the evening were the lucky draws and the Best Dressed awards - which went to MWMJC director Mr Gallen Yap (Best Dressed - Male) and Linda Chan of Benli Machinery Sdn Bhd (Best Dressed - Female). We also had a triple cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of MWMJC, the birthdays of MWMJC director Mr Ong Tiow Hui and member Control Union (M) Sdn Bhd’s Mr Supun Nigamuni, as well as the retirement of our long-time employees, the Chang sisters Betsy and Bee.
